The lock with the special pan-cover signed "Man, Royal de St. Etienne. On the escutcheon "GARDES DU CORPS DE MONSiEUR". On the butt plate "C.NOAILLES". Fine bronze mounts in original finish.  Fine stock also in original finish. "Monsieur" was the title of Charles Louis of France, the younger brother of the King Louis XVIII.
