A very nice 17th century Antique painting on canvas of a cavalry skirmish between Turkish and Christian cavalry by Jaques Courtrois "Il Borgognone". Price on request
Size of painting is 78 x 41 cm. Jaques Courtrois (Saint Hippolyte 1621-Rome 1676) is a famous painter of cavalry skirmisses.  Provenance the Collection of Otto and Mathide Wesendonk Zürich and the Rheinisches Provincial Museum in Bonn Germany. Otto and Mathilde Wesendonk are meacenas of Richard Wagner. Sold at the auction of  Dorotheum  Vienna 13 oktober 2010. Lot 559
